Hundreds gathered at Neal Blaisdell Center on Sunday, May 26 to honor the 107 young men of the graduating class of 2008. Congratulations to each of our graduates and best of luck in the future! [ More ] Damien debaters advance 6.17.08 - The Damien Memorial School public forum debate team is among 60 emerging from the opening field of 240 schools in the National Forensic League championships in Henderson, Nevada today. [ More ] Duvall to appear as guest on 'Nighttime' 5.22.08 - Senior Brack Duvall, who is headed for the Air Force Academy, will be a guest on Nighttime With Andy Bumatai at 9:30 p.m. on May 27 on KFVE. Requests for final transcripts 5.22.08 - Seniors: requests for final transcripts to be sent to your college of attendance should be requested through the School Registrar (Mrs. Lota). Ensure you have the address of the school as well. Brother Rice Awards honors year of achievement 5.17.08 - The Brother Rice Awards Assembly honored the achievements of Damien students this school year. [ More ] Ke Ali'i staff wins multiple awards 4.23.08 - Congratulations to the Damien newspaper staff for winning first place in layout and design and first place in the beginning programs division for Honolulu private schools. Andrew Hee won the award for Damien's most valuable staffer. Drive 'Fore' Damien on June 26 4.21.08 - Join us on the links on June 26, 2008 for the 14th Annual Drive 'Fore' Damien Golf Tournament. The event is being held at Kapolei Golf Course and is a 3-man modified scramble, Noon shogtun start. Prizes include a Trip for 2 to Las Vegas, electronics, neighbor island trips, show tickets and more. [ More ] Track and Field makes mark at States 5.18.08 - Congratulations to the varsity team, who represented Damien in four event finals at the State Track and Field Championships held at Mililani High School. ILH champ Jonathan Padron finished second in the 100m run, the 4x100m relay team took third, Benson Ma'afala placed 6th in the Shot Put, and Kamakana Tataipu earned 7th place in the Discus. [ More ] Congratulations to Athletic Award winners 5.15.08 - Congratulations to all those honored at the Athletics Awards assembly. The Father Damien - Monarch Award was awarded to Shelden "Kama" Bailey and Nathan K. Tehada won the Brother Thomas B. Regan Scholar-Athlete Award. [ More ] Padron wins ILH 100m dash title 5.10.08 - Jonathan Padron won the 100m dash at the ILH Track and Field Championships with a time of 11.31. Damien placed 6th overall. [ More ] Seniors end volleyball season with win 5.7.08 - The varsity volleyball team beat Maryknoll on "Senior Night" in three sets, 24-26, 25-23, 25-20, rallying to win the last two games after dropping the first. Wally Aina named interim head football coach 4.23.08 - Athletic Director Wally Aina will be the interim head coach for the coming football season. His son, Punahou Aina, will take over for the 2009 season. [ More ] |
