Mike Weaver, ’70 and wife Cecelia at his ordination as Deacon on 1/31/15 at St. Theresa Co-cathedral. Mike was a faculty member and Principal at Damien Memorial School. Congratulations Mike for successfully completing a five year intense program to be a special servant of God.

It’s that time of the year again… Damien Memorial School’s Annual “Fat Tuesday” Malasada sale. We are estimated to sell over 8,000 malasadas, beating last years goal of 6,000. Mahalo to everyone for their time and hard work to make this years malasada sale a success.

16 PWH scholarship students from 3 different schools are doing their part in keeping the aina pristine through a unique program to preserve a Hawaiian landmark. Ulupo Heiau received a makeover thanks to volunteers including students from Damien Memorial School, Sacred Hearts and Saint Francis. The goal was to rid the marsh of invasive plants and weeds. The goal was to get back in touch with the aina and try to teach them that they are responsible for the land. Students and volunteers were able to remove more than 200 pounds of invasive weeds from the marsh area. The 3 schools also raised money to buy native plants. More…
