Damien’s highly qualified faculty provides students with a rigorous educational experience that prepares them to attend the finest colleges and universities in America. Our nurturing environment enables teachers to address the individual learning needs of all our students by cultivating their academic, personal and spiritual growth. Damien further offers full-time counselors for each grade who promote academic development, and a college counselor to aid students pursuing higher education

Our dedicated teachers, state-of- the-art facilities and small class sizes help students from all walks of life succeed. We feature Honors and Advanced Placement courses, along with extracurricular programs such as robotics, band, rocketry, speech and debate, forensics, 14 league sports and many intramural activities.

Along with helping students realize their academic potential, we promote their moral and character development. Accordingly, our students typically perform more than 20,000 hours of volunteer service annually.

In keeping with the mission of our sponsor, the Congregation of Christian Brothers, Damien educates students from all walks of life by maintaining one of the most affordable tuitions on Oahu. Many families receive financial aid from our school, 3rd party foundations, and generous alumni. Academic scholarships are also available.

Application Procedures

Have your parents sign the ACADEMIC RECORDS RELEASE FORM and give it to your current school's Main Office to process. They will send Damien a copy of your official school records.

  1. Complete an application for Admission (Online or Hard Copy).

  2. Have TWO of your teachers complete the TEACHER REFERENCE REPORT (preferably English and Math) and have the teachers either email them to limos@damien.edu or mail it to the Damien Admissions Office. Be sure to complete the top portion of each recommendation before giving them to your teachers. A stamped envelope addressed to the Damien Admissions Office should be supplied to each teacher if they are going to send the references in via mail.

  3. Take our ENTRANCE EXAM (applicants for 6th-9th grade only). Due to the ongoing pandemic, entrance exams are postponed until further notice. You select an exam date during the application process and will be contacted one to two weeks prior to the exam for a reminder. Off-island applicants should submit previous standardized test scores.

  4. Schedule an INTERVIEW with a member of the Admissions Committee. Our Interview days are scheduled for February 4, March 4, and April 1, 2023. This interview will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about Damien and will provide us with the opportunity to meet you and your family. We will contact you to schedule an appointment after all other steps have been completed.
