MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL - APRIL 25, 2019

April 25, 2019

Aloha Damien ʻOhana,

Damien Memorial School was made aware of a social media post warning of a school threat to an unidentified campus. The post DOES NOT specify any school by name and is written in vague language warning parents to keep their children home due to a threat. The message is written so broadly that it could be applied to any location at any time. There is NO imminent threat to our campus and our school will remain open for normal school hours and events. I urge all students and families to refrain from reposting threats and rumors online. Please know that all direct threats to our school or students are taken very seriously and are looked into thoroughly. We appreciate your cooperation as we work together to keep all of our students safe. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me directly at 808-440-9507 or my email, atabay@damien.edu.

Sincerely,

Dr. Atabay, Principal
