Middle School on a Mission of Community-Mindedness.

Our students recently had the opportunity to visit the Manoa Lyon Arboretum, a University of Hawaii Research Unit, where they learned about the importance of protecting our native ecosystems.

During the visit, they were taught about the threat that invasive plant species pose to Hawaii's biodiversity and how preventing their spread is crucial to preserving our delicate ecosystem. Our students were engaged and enthusiastic, spending hours uprooting these invasive plants and identifying the species. We are proud of their dedication to protecting our environment and look forward to more opportunities to educate and inspire them to become stewards of our planet.
