Our school offers students a variety of clubs, including those focused on community service, ministry and media. Clubs are student-run with faculty advisors providing guidance.

    This club is run by two Damien students, Lauren Wessman (senior), Allison Silva (senior), and is advised by Damien's art teacher, Ms. Aloha Yamaguchi.

  • Hui Maluha

    In Hui Maluha, Students For Life, we support equal rights for all human beings and we use our voices for the voiceless. Members of the Hui Maluha group work to save lives that are threatened by abortion and euthanasia. We aim to help people, ensuring that choosing life is always seen as the moral necessity. Offering workshops, volunteer opportunities, prayer-centered activities, and so much more. Focusing on promoting the sanctity of life through our works.

    Challenge yourself by taking a stand. You can fight your entire life for preborn children. Even if you only save one life, you have done your job. That one, unique and beautiful human life, now has a chance. That’s worth it.

  • Key Club

    Key Club is an international student-led organization that build character and communication skills in its members who serve their communities with volunteer services.

    Through their hard work, Damien Memorial School’s Key Club has impacted various parts of O‘ahu, from awareness events; fundraising with UNICEF and Kiwanis; creative projects with children; gardening with environmental groups; and much, much more. Damien Memorial’s Key Club truly embodies its core values of leadership, character building, caring, and inclusiveness.

  • Legion of Mary

    The Legion of Mary is a lay family who, “with the sanction of the Church (and Damien Memorial School), and under the powerful leadership of Mary Immaculate, Mediatrix of All Grace, serve the Church, school, and their neighbor on a voluntary basis” (Legion of Mary). The Legion of Mary “through this opportunity of faith, development and service” hopes to “foster devotion to Mary … through commitment to service and formation of the community” (Essential Elements of an Edmund Rice Christian Brother Education, II, Proclaims and Witnesses to its Catholic Identity).

  • Student Government

    High School Student Government work to plan different social events, awareness projects, and fundraisers to foster a happy, conscious community within the school. Members in Student Government plan many events including Winter Ball, Spirit Week, Field Day, Breast Cancer Awareness, and so much more.

  • Youth Speaks Damien

    This club focuses on promoting teen literacy and civic engagement through the discussion, writing and performance of literary and performing arts by offering workshops, open forums, and interscholastic co-educational activities.

  • Design Collaborative

    “Design Collaborative” provides students a place to design and produce art or marketing purposes for events, businesses, and non-profit organizations. As a service they produce presentation materials for other clubs & organizations, spread awareness of a worthy cause, and/or fundraising events. Materials such as banners, posters, designing club & organization e-newsletters, web design, digital publications, promotional items Student will also gain experience in entrepreneurship by creating an e-commerce website for fundraising purposes.
