Division II Title Game: Damien Holds Off Kapa‘a in Pitcher's Duel
The first championship matchup of the day featured a Division II showdown between Damien and Kapa‘a.
Damien came out strong, putting up three runs in the top of the first inning to take an early lead. Kapa‘a responded with a run of their own in the bottom half of the frame, cutting the deficit to 3-1.
From there, it became a defensive battle. Both teams settled in with strong pitching and solid fielding, allowing just six total hits the rest of the way. Damien held firm and closed out the game to secure a 3-1 victory and the Division II crown.
