The event took place at Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii.
In addition, Damien students took part in the annual Japan Day festivities organized by the Japan-America Society of Hawaii. Under the guidance of Sensei John Esdicul ʻ01, Damien's Japanese language teacher, students and faculty engaged in a hands-on cultural exchange that brought traditional Japanese customs and practices to life.
From language and calligraphy to music, art, and etiquette, the day provided students with an immersive and enriching journey into Japanese culture—deepening their appreciation and understanding of Japan's rich heritage.
