Damien 11th Graders Volunteer at The Pantry
On September 19, 2025, Damien Memorial School’s 11th grade students spent the day serving the community at The Pantry, a local food distribution center dedicated to fighting food insecurity in Hawai‘i.
Jen Roberts, Volunteer Coordinator at The Pantry, expressed her gratitude for the Damien volunteers:
“We are so grateful for our amazing volunteers from Damien Memorial High School. Their energy and dedication help us provide healthy, nutritious food to more than 1,200 families every week. With so many households in Hawai‘i facing food insecurity, we truly appreciate our incredible volunteers. It’s inspiring to see the next generation stepping up to make such a meaningful difference in our community.”
For Damien’s 11th graders, this field trip was more than just an outing—it was an opportunity to live out our school’s values of service, leadership, and compassion. By giving their time and effort, our students not only supported families in need but also deepened their understanding of what it means to be men and women of service.
Mahalo to The Pantry for hosting our students, and a heartfelt thank you to our juniors and their teacher, Mr. McGivern for representing Damien with energy, heart, and a commitment to making a difference.
